I learned to train my own pets in the 1980's. In 1999, I began my professional career in pet care & training and have been learning continuously since. Sadly, the pet training industry is an unregulated one which means anyone can call themselves a trainer, a "behaviorist", or "pet psychologist". I have the experience, certifications, and continuing education to back up my knowledge. As one of the few certified cat behavior consultants in California, my specialty is working with caregivers who are struggling with multi-species behavior issues with a focus on feline behavior issues.  I am the Animal Training Manager at Pasadena Humane and have over two decades experience educating people about their pets. My passion is to promote evidence based pet knowledge and to debunk persistent pet training myths that may harm the relationship between you and your pets.
